Terms of Service
By using Rada, you agree to these terms. We've written them as plainly as possible.
Last updated: May 2026 · Governing law: Republic of Kenya
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Rada application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The service
Rada is a community-powered traffic incident alert platform for Android. It allows users to save commute routes, receive push notifications about community-reported incidents on those routes, and submit incident reports visible to other users.
The App is currently available on Android only. An iOS version is planned for a future date.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fabricated incident reports.
- Use the App to harass, intimidate, or harm other users.
- Spam the incident map with repeated or irrelevant reports.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the App or its API.
- Use automated tools or bots to interact with the App.
- Impersonate another person or create fake accounts.
We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
4. User-generated content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (incident reports, descriptions, comments). By submitting content, you grant Rada a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content to other users of the App for the purposes of operating the service.
All incident reports are automatically deleted after 2 hours. You are responsible for ensuring any content you submit is accurate and does not infringe third-party rights.
5. Premium subscription
5.1 Pricing
Rada Premium is available for KES 250 per month. Pricing is subject to change; existing subscribers will be given at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.
5.2 Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly billing period. You will be charged via your chosen payment method (M-Pesa or Google Play) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the App (Account → Subscription → Cancel) or via the Google Play Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you retain Premium access until then.
5.4 Free tier
A free tier remains available indefinitely with community incident alerts, up to 3 saved routes, and banner advertising.
6. Refund policy
Subscription fees are non-refundable for any billing period that has already commenced. If you cancel mid-month, you will not receive a partial refund — your Premium access continues until the end of that billing period.
Exceptions may be made at our discretion for technical errors that prevented access to Premium features during a paid period. Contact hello@solidcreatives.co.ke with details.
7. Disclaimer
Rada is a community-sourced information platform. Incident reports are submitted by individual users and are not verified by Rada before publication. Rada is not a substitute for official traffic information, emergency services, or your own judgement on the road.
We make no guarantees about the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of any report on the platform. Always drive safely and in compliance with Kenyan traffic law.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rada shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on community-submitted incident reports.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
